Artificial intelligence and the development of digital infrastructure are rapidly reshaping economic opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean. But the benefit of these changes is not automatic. Governments need to react, adapt, and incentivize the growth of these sectors in their countries to avoid missing the wave of advancement. In particular, middle-income countries in the region have a chance to build the digital foundations that will determine the economic trajectory of their countries, and the time to take action is now.
What exactly are the opportunities being presented by the digital and AI revolution? What are the policy conditions, investment structures, and bilateral frameworks that will set countries up for maximum benefit? What kinds of U.S.-LAC partnerships will allow the Western Hemisphere to become a hub for emerging technology?
Join us for a public conversation brought to you by Global Americans, Foreign Policy Magazine, and the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management as part of the Americas Forward Forum, featuring executives from leading technology companies, ministers from LAC, and senior U.S. government officials who will examine what it will actually take to accelerate digital growth across the region.
The event will be followed by a networking reception.
