José Carlos Márquez Díaz is a Bolivian entrepreneur and industrialist. He is the founder and CEO of Quantum Motors,Latin America’s first manufacturer of low-cost electric vehicles, and Quantum Batteries, Bolivia’s first lithium battery pack factory.

Under his leadership, the group has sold over 3,000 electric vehicles across Bolivia, Peru, Paraguay, Mexico, and El Salvador. His work focuses on lithium industrialization, China-Latin America supply chains, and electromobility financing models for emerging markets. He has served as a panelist at the 26th World Energy Congress and as a speaker at energy and innovation forums throughout the region. His work has been featured by The Wall Street Journal, Forbes México, AP, CNN, and Deutsche Welle.
