Anne Milne

International Advisory Committee – Anne Milne is Managing Director, Head of Global Emerging Markets Corporate Credit Research at Bank of America (BofA Securities). She has been involved in Latin American and emerging markets finance for the past 25 years in different capacities from investment banking and portfolio management to research. Anne is currently responsible for managing the Global EM credit research teams in New York, London, São Paulo, and Buenos Aires, with responsibility for fundamental credit research as well as corporate credit strategy. Anne publishes extensively on EM credit investment strategy, industry, and market themes and on specific company developments. At BofA, Anne has been instrumental in organizing the industry’s largest annual EM debt and equity conference globally, with nearly 2,000 participants (investors, corporations, and industry specialists) from Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Most recently, Anne has joined the Board of Regents at California’s oldest private university, the University of the Pacific, serving on the Investment and Finance Committees.

Anne joined Bank of America in 2010 from Deutsche Bank Securities, where she managed the Emerging Markets Corporate Research team. She previously worked at JP Morgan, ING Barings, Trust Company of the West, and the World Bank in various research and portfolio management capacities. Anne’s research expertise includes several industrial sectors. Most recently, she has focused on the energy sector in Latin America. She has also worked on a number of corporate restructurings in the region. Anne and her team have been ranked as the number one or two research team for Emerging Market Credit Research by Institutional Investor since 2003.

In addition to her work, Anne has been involved in EM Charity activities for many years, having been the Treasurer of the annual EM Charity Benefit organized by the Emerging Markets Trade Association for 10 years. The organization raised and contributed over US $7 million to more than 30 charities within Emerging Markets.

Anne has a master’s degree in International Economics and Latin American Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC, and an undergraduate degree in International Studies from the University of the Pacific in California. She has lived in India, Switzerland, and Argentina, and speaks Spanish and French. Anne currently resides in New York City with her husband, Jacob Ojito.
