Global Americans’ Latest Foreign Policy and Democracy Monitoring Project Report
Made possible by the generous support of the National Endowment for Democracy, this report is the third in a project to analyze and track the foreign policies of governments in the Americas and those of other select countries of the Global South as they relate to democracy and human rights.
As we seek to promote greater discussion and accountability of foreign policy in the Western Hemisphere, Global Americans monitors governments’ commitments—in words and deeds. This report is an update on the votes and actions by states in the hemisphere—including the U.S. to analyze democratic governance and human rights’ progress in the region. - UNHRC updates and votes
- How are Latin American countries voting on resolutions regarding the crisis in Syria?
- Has there been a chance in voting patterns with the changes in governments in Brazil and Argentina? (Spoiler alert: yes.);
- The repercussions of the U.S. pulling out of the UNHRC under the leadership of U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley; and
