El desafuero del senador Jaime Orpis por acusaciones de cohecho, lavado de activos, delitos tributarios y fraude al fisco; lamentablemente sólo será un evento de menor relevancia pública en un país donde los escándalos sobre el financiamiento irregular de la política y de las campañas están a la orden del día. Pese a que muchos líderes han rotos vestiduras, el sistema de financiamiento vigente para las municipales de 2016 es el mismo que permitió las irregularidades que se destaparon en los escándalos Penta, Corpesca y SQM.
