“We were here first!” they say, pointing fingers and brimming with confidence. Is there any logic in this chanting and scapegoating?

“We were here first!” they say, pointing fingers, and brimming with confidence. Is there any logic in the chanting and scapegoating promoted by leading candidates such as Trump or (Canadian) Cruz or is it just political posturing? Is it racism? In a nation of immigrants, where almost everyone’s ancestors came to escape hardship and to pursue a better life, are today’s immigrants really any different?
